Cherie loves the adventure of her relationship with Jesus Christ who called her out of darkness and brought her into His marvelous light! One of her greatest delights is discovering the knowledge of Him through the study of the Bible. Second only to her love of studying is the pleasure she experiences walking alongside women as they too learn the joy of knowing the God of the Bible personally. She has been teaching the Rockhill Women’s Bible Study, a community Bible study for women, since 2012. In addition to studying and teaching, she loves to read and, when she can, writes at her blog: Ponderings of a Pursuer of God.
Cherie has been married to Keith for 27 years and together they raised two sons, Austin and Colton, who have left them empty nesters. When they are not at work, they are enjoying this new phase of life by vacationing with friends, traveling to visit family and simply spending a good amount of time dating each other. Cherie also believes that on the inside she is truly British and spends time nurturing her inner “Brit” by visiting the local Tea Room whenever she can, rewatching Jane Austin movies as often as possible and following every British mystery series available on Netflix. Unfortunately, none of these activities has enabled her to speak with a British accent….yet! But she is ever hopeful.
Everybody has a story is the foundation of Verna’s message as a speaker, blogger, and author of Crumbs Along the Broken Path and Gathering, Seeds of Encouragement. Her humor, transparency, and love of God’s Word collide in a unique way to inspire women of all ages to find a deeper relationship with Jesus.
Verna is a recent widow, a mom to four, a gramma to five, and loves spending time with every one of them – taking long walks and journaling life. Her story is a declaration of how God uses broken pieces to bring wholeness, in spite of our past and our circumstances.
Kristi Wile grew up in church. She attended a Christian school and college and then married a man studying to be a missionary. But life began to fall apart: betrayal, rejection, miscarriage, divorce, abuse, depression — and she realized that she really didn’t understand what her faith was all about. Twenty years of crippling depression nearly took her life, but God had other plans. He lifted her out of the pit and set her feet on the Solid Rock, Jesus Christ. He’s given her a passion for women who grew up like her, in church, but who remain in bondage to the pain of their pasts. “Freedom in Christ is real” is her message.
Kristi is married and has three grown sons, one of whom is married. She and her husband enjoy walking and doing puzzles, and she’ll say that puzzles are the easier of the two. She works part-time as a nurse. She loves reading, writing, studying Scripture, mentoring and encouraging women to go deeper in their walk with God.
